Well done to all those club members who took place in either the Poole Double event in September or the Lakeside Newbury Singles event at the beginning of November.

It was a pleasure to see the improvements which have occurred at the Bowlplex centre since last year even if they were still encountering a few niggling problems.

In Division 1 Josh Buller bowling with Martin Townsend from Peterborough came 16th; Josh’s average was197.7. This was closely followed by Chris Taylor and Steven Spiking who came 17th their averages being 163.5 and 203.2 respectively. George Ackerman and Jamie Rosenberg were 27th with averages of 165.8 and 191.3.  Ryan and Hadley Morgan came 40th with averages of 189.3 and 137.7.

In Division 2 Jenna Buller and Naomi Shand were 14th turning in averages of 176.7 and 155.5. In Division 3 Rebecca Spiking and Joanna Hackett were 14th – their averages being 138.8 and 124.2 whilst Christian Greene and Ashley Conrad were placed 17th having bowled averages of 119.3.and 131.3.

It was a new experience for some of our bowlers at the Lakeside tournament having to bowl on wooden lanes instead of synthetic which the YBC bowls on every week. However the Tolworth spirit prevailed and our bowlers did their best in coping with a mixture of “dry” and “wet” lanes and having to move after every game.

In Division A Jamie Rosenberg averaged 170.2 with Ryan Morgan closely behind with 163.7; they ended up being placed 17th and 19th in the division.

In Division B Hadley Morgan bowled a respectable 166.2 with Lewis James bowling an average of 135.3. Hadley and Lewis finish 10th and 23rd in the division.

Whilst in Division C Joanna Hackett led the Tolworth charge ending 11th in the division with an average of 147.5, this was followed by Ben Rogers 17th bowling an average of 135 and Sam Mitchell was 22nd in the division with an average of 128.2.
